A very cool mini boss fight is one against an opponent you can not see! I will admit that it took me a while to figure out how to expose the invisible boss. During the first half of the fight, I was trying everything possible to attach the massive sword (thinking that was the boss).

After trying everything, I realized that I couldn’t hurt the boss and needed to find a solution. I then turned into the wolf as he could sense things that are mysterious or hidden and the boss appeared! After one attacked, he appeared permanently and I face him as Link again.

He’s quite simple to defeat once you figured out the strategy behind it. A series of arrow attacks and sword slashes should put him in his grave! A fight well worth it, as you get a new item! The Spinner!!

Alas, Link gets a hold of his Master Sword! This is a much anticipated part of any Zelda game and generally happens one-third of the journey. Enough chat, here’s the sneak peak at the great MASTER SWORD!

Lakebed Temple is the first temple that has a significant amount of water which you have to swim through using your blue suit. It’s actually quite a fun level and seeing Link in blue is quite a nice change (although the traditional green can never be replaced!)

After using the Master Key, you begin the journey to the boss by jumping down a hole. This hole leads you into a pool of water at which the boss is waiting for you at the bottom.

First first phase of this boss is easy-just use the hookshot to grab the eye out of the tentacles and slash away! Once you’ve cleared up the remaining eyes, the boss will emerge from the dirt and swim around freely.

At this point, this is where I had trouble figuring out what to do! But after a few minutes of trying various tactics, I figured out the solution.

There is an eye that rests directly on top of the monster’s head. You’ll need to hookshot onto the monster by targetting the eye. Once you’ve pulled your self on top, you can slash away with your sword. Do this until you defeat the beast!

Link is up against a fat HUGE killer frog!! During the battle he jumps to the ceiling and falls down on you. You have to be quick to get out of the way or else you’ll be a pancake!

He will release about 20 tadpoles to attack you all at once. These quick little creatures will come from all directions.

In order to defeat him you have to attack his long tongue. He exposes his tongue once in a while, but you have to force him to stick out it. Simply through a bomb into his mouth and watch it explode. The explosion will knock the frog unconscious with his mouth open and tongue sticking out. Lock on to the tongue and slash away! Repeat this a few times until you have squashed the problem!
